Job Description

Title: Teller
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Position Type: Full Time
Expected Hours of Work: 7:30 am 5:30 pm weekdays, and rotating 8:30 am 12:00 p.m. Saturdays
Reports to: Branch Manager
Location: Crossroads (Kansas City, MO)
Greet all Clients appropriately and ensure all Clients receive excellent service on all financial transactions. Identify Client needs and provide appropriate solutions. Maintain appropriate control of the cash drawer and balance each day. Ensure compliance in all transactions. Assist Branch Manager with other duties as needed.
Essential Functions
Deliver superior financial services to both consumer and business Clients
Own the business When Clients have questions make it a priority to solve the problem
Manage and balance a cash drawer within defined limits
Process a variety of financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments and others in a confidential manner
Issue and record the sale of monetary instruments
Report information related to financial transactions as required
Balance the ATM
Balance the vault
Facilitate audits
Adhere to all operational and compliance policies and procedures
Cross-sell all bank products
Train on all duties required for a Branch Banker level position after Teller duties are mastered
Other duties as assigned

Excellent customer service skills ability to show tact and diplomacy when dealing with all Clients both internal and external
Patience when assisting Clients
Ability to cross-sell (determine Clients needs and recommend appropriate bank products)
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Excellent cash handling skills
Ability to follow defined processes and procedures
Ability to identify fraudulent or questionable transactions
Ability to learn financial products and communicate the benefits to Clients
Good understanding of banking organization structure to be able to find the right person to help a Client when needed
Competency in basic mathematical skills
Ability to deal with both internal and external Customers
Physical Demands

May be required:
o Lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Previous cash handling experience
Six months of banking or retail sales experience preferred
