The person hired for the position of Sourcing Specialist Ė Healthcare Services will determine and implement solutions regarding distribution of business, negotiation strategy, category strategy, supplier management, source of supply, etc. Lead complex projects as well as initiatives to ensure cost and quality goals for services are met. Improve business results by identifying problems and opportunities, defining requirements and developing solutions to drive the improvement of Sourcing processes. Design and manage the implementation of complex and critical sourcing activities, using various methods such as process and product understanding and Lean Six Sigma in support of the Sourcing Policy. Lead and manage cross-functional projects both regionally and globally.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Contract Management: Draft, revise, review and negotiate complex vendor agreements. Prepare and communicate information regarding contract status, risk, compliance, modifications, deviations, negotiations, and, completion or termination. Coordinate all aspects of contract preparation and management.
Project Implementation and Leadership: Initiates and designs plans to implement global sourcing solutions that will achieve measurable business results, ensuring compliance with the global sourcing policy. Develops project cost analysis and recommends allocation of project resources. Provides leadership that includes project management activities, business planning, work allocation and coaching. Assembles and leads multiple project teams to implement sourcing solutions. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met. Establishes close working relationship with business unit management and vendors on sourcing strategies and activities. Proactively communicates project direction and status with key country and/or business unit management. Recommends and influences management decisions in strategy, innovative solutions, sourcing solutions for healthcare services. Negotiates to resolve issues, implement strategies and ensure client satisfaction. Aligns department goals with business unitís goals, communicating vision and strategy, fostering teamwork, empowering employees. Project management skills, capable of managing the RFx process from documentation of baseline costs and service levels through contract execution, and in some cases, implementation.
Sourcing Strategy, Analysis and Design: Develops and implements overall category strategy for area of healthcare services. Works with global/regional counterparts to share best practices and develop global strategies that leverage Big 3M and incorporates innovative and forward-thinking solutions. Partners with the business to develop proactive business strategies to source the goods and services needed by the business to accomplish their goals. Develops cause and effect analysis and documentation. Develops and recommends tactical and strategic solutions to business unit clients and management. Assist with financial and qualitative model development, with a focus on approaches inclusive of total cost of ownership, etc. Work with business unit clients to establish supplier management standards and practices, inclusive of measuring suppliers against SLAs that are established because of the RFx or contracting process. Ability to reflect our forward-looking vision for Professional Services strategic sourcing.
Sourcing Process Improvement: Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvements that improve service, speed or cost, through analysis of sourcing information and metrics. Minimizes the total product and process cost by leading cost reduction efforts and facilitation implementation of innovative sourcing best practices. Recognizes impacts on related processes and ensures communication of issues and proposed solutions to appropriate business and process owners.
Training and Education: Educates clients on sourcing processes that may span multiple disciplines. Serves as resident expert in sourcing processes and in the use and application of existing systems. Conducts process and application training as needed.
Possess a Bachelorís degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in sourcing, purchasing, sales and/or strategic sourcing related activity in a private, public, government or military environment.
Minimum of three (3) years complex contract negotiation and drafting experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Masterís degree or higher from an accredited institution
